Problem Statement
The RSW website (ricohsoftware.com/resources.ricohsoftware.com) currently operates on a WordPress-based platform managed through New North and WP Engine.
A June 2026 security incident involving a malicious WordPress plugin highlighted the ongoing security, governance, and maintenance risks associated with maintaining WordPress infrastructure for a site that now serves a limited informational purpose. Since March 2025, all demand-generation content and forms have been removed from the site, leaving only three informational pages. Maintaining a full WordPress environment provides limited business value relative to its operational and security overhead. [June 2026...ty Summary | Word]
The proposed solution is to:
Convert remaining website content to static HTML/CSS.
Eliminate the WordPress dependency.
Migrate hosting to a Ricoh-governed environment.
Improve alignment with Ricoh security controls, governance, monitoring, and operational practices.
Reduce long-term vendor dependence and maintenance costs.
A potential AWS-based implementation through Ricoh Software Development has been discussed, but development ownership, architecture, effort, cost, prioritization, and commitment have not yet been approved. This intake request is intended to evaluate those items through the standard portfolio process.
